Hello coffee enthusiasts,
For today’s blog post, I thought it would be a good time to reflect over our past year, seeing as we just had our one-year anniversary for BCB Rossmoyne back in April. This is a very humbling accomplishment for us, because we have officially been running two shops for a full year now. There have certainly been a few ups and downs, but overall we continue to receive positive feedback and a steady growth at both Brew Crumberland’s Best and BCB Rossmoyne. I’d also like to use this post to highlight a few key projects that we are very excited to have in the works. Overall, it’s been a year full of excitement, which doesn’t look like it will be wearing off anytime soon.
So first off, let’s discuss Brew Crumberland’s Best. Although we are a little beyond the three and a half years of business mark at our first location, we continue to see growth on an exponential scale. A major contributor to that growth has definitely been opening up Sundays. Adding this extra day to our work week was something that we had gotten pressure from our customers to do for years, and we’re very pleased with the overall reception to the change. It just goes to show that there’s always more that we can do, no matter how long we’ve been in business.
The one major change we are hoping to make in the future at Brew Crumberland’s Best is taking over the middle section of the building for more seating. By doing this, we would then have the option to expand our kitchen into the lounge area, which would certainly help with the continually growing amount of pastries Laurel needs to make, without losing any of our valuable seating. BCB would also gain an indoor/outdoor seating option for any customers that would like experience the nice weather while enjoying all that BCB has to offer. By having the ability to open up the garage doors in the middle section of our building, we would be able to offer that heightened experience. Although we don’t have a time-frame on this project just yet, it is something that we will certainly get to at some point.
As for BCB Rossmoyne, this first year has been a great learning experience for us. We spent the first few months simply trying to get our processes in place, and it’s relieving to be able to say that we officially feel very comfortable in our new home. If we can continue to find quality employees, we would love to open up Saturdays to start, and possibly Sundays someday as well. This probably won’t happen for a while still, but it is something that we will have in place eventually.
When it comes to plans for BCB Rossmoyne’s future, outside of opening weekends of course, there are quite a few possibilities. The one major one we are focusing in on at this time is a patio area out front. Similarly to Brew Crumberland’s Best, we feel that our customers at BCB Rossmoyne would enjoy an outdoor dining experience. The main difference between these two plans is that it is easier to bring this plan to fruition at Rossmoyne. We’re looking to cover the patch of grass to the left of our entrance, which would allow us to easily fit two or three tables out there. We’re hoping to have this project completed by the middle of this summer if everything goes as planned, but it will definitely be completed by springtime next year if there are any unforeseen complications.
It’s clear to see that we have a lot of plans in the works for our business as a whole. We are excited to continue growing and striving to provide the best possible experience for our customers. Please feel free to reach out and let me know which plans you would be most excited to see happen. Also, any other suggestions or ideas are always welcome. Help us in our never-ending quest to keep evolving and growing to offer the best experience possible.
Until next time,
